Abdominal Massage (Maya Abdominal Therapy)

Abdominal Massage is a gentle, external therapy rooted in the traditional Maya healing lineage. This practice focuses on restoring natural alignment and healthy function within the abdomen, pelvis, and low back. Through slow, intentional touch, the work encourages the uterus and abdominal organs to return to their optimal position, while easing tension and restrictions in the surrounding muscles and connective tissues.

When these structures are able to move freely again, circulation of blood, lymph, and nerve flow improves. Many clients experience relief from pelvic discomfort, digestive issues, back pain, or reproductive health concerns as the body regains balance and communication between its core systems.

Each session includes instruction in simple Maya-informed self-care techniques to continue the work at home. Depending on your needs, additional supportive practices—such as castor oil packs, vaginal steams, or pelvic support wraps—may be recommended to enhance your body’s natural healing process.

Maya Abdominal Therapy can support:

  • Menstrual pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and PCOS

  • Pelvic pain and pelvic organ prolapse

  • Chronic yeast, BV, and bladder infections

  • Digestive disorders

  • Fertility preparation for all partners

  • Ease and comfort in pregnancy

  • Postpartum healing and cesarean scar recovery

  • Preparation for VBAC

For best results, follow-up care is recommended within two weeks of your first session, and every two to four weeks thereafter. Most clients benefit from at least three 60-minute sessions as the body integrates the work.

Maya Abdominal Therapy offers a deeply restorative way to reconnect with the body’s innate capacity for balance, vitality, and healing.
