Trish Sternthal, LMT
Trish Sternthal has been practicing massage therapy since 1999. She began her career in Austin, TX after completing education from the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage. In Portland she studied at East West College of Massage and Zen Shiatsu Portland.
Trish believes bodywork is an important part of keeping physically fit and mentally balanced. Her knowledge of eastern and western technique cultivates work to balance and reduce tension associated with everyday stresses. Using massage techniques derived from training in sports massage, Deep Massage the Lauterstein Method, and myofascial she incorporates modalities best suited to individual needs. Her massage treatments focus on slow, deep movement to balance the mind and body and allow muscles to deeply relax.
In addition, Trish has focused training in Zen Shiatsu, a form of Japanese theory and bodywork using rhythmic pressure along pathways called meridians. Through her shiatsu work with the Immune Enhancement Project, Trish brings experience working with clients living with Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis, Hepatitis, Fibromyalgia, HIV and Cancer.
